Over the past few years devel­op­ers have observed that LEED reg­is­tered build­ings lease more quick­ly and with rent pre­mi­ums of up to 30%.

In order to max­i­mize the avail­able project foot­print and achieve the beau­ti­ful mediter­ranean-inspired look, the design required com­plex, tight-radius cor­ners and open­ings.

Fox Blocks con­tributed to a fam­i­ly prop­er­ty along the Fish Riv­er near the Alaba­ma Gulf Coast.

The project is a key fea­ture and gath­er­ing place in a small city that is plan­ning sub­stan­tial city-wide rede­vel­op­ment. The new 11-screen the­ater is a focal point of this effort and has intro­duced the region to ICF and the ben­e­fits of build­ing with this method.

Cost effec­tive con­struc­tion was pos­si­ble because of the insu­lat­ing qual­i­ties of the Fox Blocks sys­tem.

The chal­lenge for this build was to cre­ate a home that would appeal to a sophis­ti­cat­ed buy­er with fea­tures that an emp­ty nester mov­ing from a larg­er more expan­sive home would enjoy. The result is an ener­gy effi­cient home which cre­ative­ly uses space in an attrac­tive, lux­u­ri­ous, and cost effec­tive way.

Con­struct­ing a com­mer­cial retail build­ing is a sig­nif­i­cant invest­ment that comes with its own set of com­plex­i­ties. Var­ied fac­tors can impact the over­all cost of build­ing a retail build­ing, each con­tribut­ing to the final price tag.
