A family property along the Fish River near the Alabama Gulf Coast contains Live Oak Trees that are more than 200 years old. Fox Blocks contributed to a beautiful, traditionally styled home that looks like it has been there for 120 years – and is intended to last almost that long.

Being near the Gulf Coast, the 2,600 square foot home was built to standards that allowed Fortified for Safer Living certification (FFSL). Fox Blocks helped the home meet and exceed the stringent FFLS testing requirements, which helped reduce cost of insurance through the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS).

The 185 MPH sustained wind speed resistance requirement was met with ICF and the use of Simpson Strong Tie Truss & Girder Tie Down Embeds. Further framing and attachment point security was also critical.

This FFSL-IBHS Certified home is not only built resilient and fortified buy also was a part of the Baldwin County Home Builders Association Parade of Homes.
