With the­aters, a bowl­ing alley, din­ing, and an arcade, Home­stead Sta­tion is the cen­ter­piece of Homestead’s down­town revi­tal­iza­tion. The own­er want­ed a durable, high-per­for­mance build­ing to house their pro­pri­etary the­ater expe­ri­ence fea­tur­ing 3D sur­round sound, mas­sive screens, and pre­mi­um reclin­ing seats.

Every struc­ture, from tow­er­ing sky­scrap­ers to qui­et fam­i­ly homes, relies on rebar to pro­vide the strength and sta­bil­i­ty that con­crete alone can­not deliv­er.

Non-com­bustible, insu­lat­ed con­crete form (ICF) con­struc­tion is a bet­ter approach to fire safe­ty over wood con­struc­tion.

Fox Blocks was used to sup­port the Friary’s 200-year life expectan­cy for the facil­i­ty.

A key design ele­ment of this school was sus­tain­abil­i­ty.

The home­own­er want­ed to build a mul­ti­fam­i­ly high-per­for­mance home as part of the Detroit Revi­tal­iza­tion Pro­gram, an ini­tia­tive in the region that aims to sus­tain and grow neigh­bor­hoods.

This school has hun­dreds of com­plex shapes and sizes that were accom­mo­dat­ed by Fox Blocks.

An audi­to­ri­um isn’t just a room with seats — it’s a space designed to shape sound, sight, and com­fort for every occu­pant. Prop­er audi­to­ri­um archi­tec­ture bal­ances acoustics, sight­lines, ener­gy effi­cien­cy, and occu­pant com­fort to cre­ate an invit­ing, high-per­form­ing space.
