As I try to break into…..or attempt to uti­lize or at least sign up…….on some of the new social media or medi­ums that con­tin­ue to grow in pop­u­lar­i­ty, I real­ize that I must be old! Very, very old! I thought that my col­league out west ​“Mr. Siz­zle” was about my age, but he is def­i­nite­ly young when it comes to all of these tech­nolo­gies!

The Krafthaus home was built in the plains of Black For­est, Col­orado which meant a high water table (4’ below grade), poor soil qual­i­ty, and weath­er con­di­tions that includ­ed high wind gusts and snow drifts up to 5 feet tall.

As with all movie stu­dio projects, sched­ule was a crit­i­cal ele­ment for this film pro­duc­tion facil­i­ty.

Insu­lat­ed Con­crete Form wall sys­tems, Fox Blocks, are a way to cre­ate an extreme­ly safe struc­ture. When teach­ers and stu­dents return to an ICF school, they are pro­tect­ed against these ele­ments.

Every Fox Blocks home when test­ed by an Ener­gy Rater, can meet and exceed the Ener­gy Star home stan­dards and achieve a 5 Star rat­ing and a ​‘HERS’ score well below the min­i­mum Ener­gy Star require­ment of 85, or in Cana­da, high­er than an Ener­Guide rat­ing of 80.
