ICF con­struc­tion cre­ates mod­ern struc­tures that are ener­gy-effi­cient, durable, dis­as­ter-resis­tant, and have good indoor envi­ron­men­tal qual­i­ty (IEQ). ICF con­struc­tion is also strong, flex­i­ble, fast and easy to install. Unfor­tu­nate­ly, even with these many ben­e­fits, some archi­tects and con­trac­tors are reluc­tant to uti­lize it due to mis­con­cep­tions about ICF con­struc­tion.

Our par­ent com­pa­ny, Air­lite Plas­tics, cre­ates plas­tic prod­ucts for a vari­ety of appli­ca­tions – so we have a con­stant sup­ply of first-gen­er­a­tion recy­cled mate­r­i­al. And since it’s right here in our facil­i­ties, we work toward the small­est car­bon foot­print pos­si­ble.

Wall sys­tems con­struct­ed with Fox Blocks insu­lat­ed con­crete forms (ICFs ) ensure a wind-resis­tant struc­ture with a strong con­tin­u­ous load path that holds the roof, walls, floors, and foun­da­tion togeth­er dur­ing an intense wind event.

The project was built to cre­ate a sound and visu­al bar­ri­er between the neigh­bor­ing home after a sec­tion of trees on the side yard that joined the two prop­er­ties was cleared.
