Fox Blocks ICF announced that it will acquire select key assets from Reward Wall Sys­tems, Inc, inte­grat­ing those assets into its own oper­a­tions and aug­ment­ing the Fox Blocks Insu­lat­ed Con­crete Form (ICF) prod­uct line.

With advice from lead­ing con­trac­tors in the Insu­lat­ed Con­crete Form busi­ness, Fox Blocks has cre­at­ed an incred­i­ble group of blocks.

We built a test wall 440 feet long x 9′-4″ tall with 24 turns, with no brac­ing or strap­ping, to test the 90 degree blocks with con­crete.

As builders and buy­ers look to con­tin­u­al­ly fight ris­ing costs, mak­ing small changes and minor sub­sti­tu­tions, as a way of val­ue engi­neer­ing, can large­ly impact the final cost of a build.

The design team at SMP Archi­tec­ture want­ed to cre­ate a safe and secure, sus­tain­able struc­ture with low main­te­nance costs for the own­ers.

The own­er of this 6,000 square foot home was attract­ed to Fox Blocks because of its ener­gy effi­cien­cy but was also hap­py with the ease of con­struc­tion that save time and mon­ey.

Some clients might want to leave the home to future gen­er­a­tions of fam­i­ly mem­bers, while oth­ers may have a pas­sion for envi­ron­men­tal sus­tain­abil­i­ty. Com­ments like that all point to the same thing: a client who wants a home designed with the future in mind. And, by keep­ing up with the lat­est devel­op­ments in future-focused design, you can pro­vide the solu­tion.

Despite under­stand­ing the need for sus­tain­abil­i­ty, many archi­tects, design­ers and build­ing own­ers see the asso­ci­at­ed costs as a bar­ri­er. The real­i­ty is that, while switch­ing to sus­tain­able build­ing prac­tices does require an ini­tial invest­ment, it’s not as much as many assume.
