The own­ers’ for­mer home, destroyed by Hur­ri­cane Har­vey, was the touch­stone for fam­i­ly gath­er­ings for near­ly two decades, and its loss was dev­as­tat­ing for the fam­i­ly.

Wall sys­tems con­struct­ed with Fox Blocks insu­lat­ed con­crete forms (ICFs ) ensure a wind-resis­tant struc­ture with a strong con­tin­u­ous load path that holds the roof, walls, floors, and foun­da­tion togeth­er dur­ing an intense wind event.

With a com­bi­na­tion of high- tech build­ing mate­ri­als and stream­lined ener­gy renew­al sources, net zero ener­gy build­ings are per­fect exam­ples of the ​“waste not, want not” con­cept.

The entire Lego-like ICF wall struc­tures were built in one day, an impres­sive exam­ple of the ease of build­ing with Fox Blocks. Two weeks were saved on over­all build time thanks to Fox Blocks ICF.

As with all movie stu­dio projects, sched­ule was a crit­i­cal ele­ment for this film pro­duc­tion facil­i­ty.

The build­ing fea­tures an impres­sive mix of tall wall ICF, steel, and glaz­ing.
