We are hon­ored to be rec­og­nized with these five ICF Builder Awards. Fox Blocks won five awards in three cat­e­gories, with projects from five dif­fer­ent states.

Wall sys­tems con­struct­ed with Fox Blocks insu­lat­ed con­crete forms (ICFs ) ensure a wind-resis­tant struc­ture with a strong con­tin­u­ous load path that holds the roof, walls, floors, and foun­da­tion togeth­er dur­ing an intense wind event.

Trag­i­cal­ly, between 2000 and 2017 there were 894 wind and 1417 tor­na­do-relat­ed deaths. In 2017, 36 per­cent of the wind and 63 per­cent of the tor­na­do-relat­ed fatal­i­ties hap­pened either in a mobile or per­ma­nent home. A wind-resis­tant design is crit­i­cal to a home­’s integri­ty and a family’s safe­ty.

The build­ing fea­tures an impres­sive mix of tall wall ICF, steel, and glaz­ing.

Eco-Friend­ly Space to Serve the Pub­lic. The Alachua Coun­ty Tax Collector’s Office is a wel­com­ing space with staff and clients at the fore­front of design.

Insu­lat­ed Con­crete Forms (ICFs) are becom­ing a pop­u­lar choice in mod­ern con­struc­tion due to their ener­gy effi­cien­cy and struc­tur­al dura­bil­i­ty. A com­mon ques­tion among builders and home­own­ers is whether ICF blocks are tox­ic.
