This unique air hangar is the first of its kind in terms of ICF appli­ca­tions. The design of this build­ing was not intend­ed to stand out, but to con­form and fit its envi­ron­ment. With beau­ti­ful wood and stonework exte­ri­or fin­ish­es and the steep rake of the roof down to the embank­ment in which the hangar is nes­tled, the build­ing ele­gant­ly blends into the beau­ti­ful Ida­ho sur­round­ings with­out being obtru­sive.

The objec­tive was to build a beau­ti­ful home on spec that was both ener­gy effi­cient and hur­ri­cane-resis­tant in a sought-after neigh­bor­hood in the Flori­da Pan­han­dle.

The 5,200 square foot cus­tom home is built on a large rock on the side of a moun­tain.

Mil­len­ni­als fur­ther appre­ci­ate that ener­gy-effi­cient homes pro­vide a high lev­el of com­fort and safe­ty to their fam­i­lies, and will increase the resale val­ue of the house.

Use of Fox Blocks in this project con­tributed to sav­ing 2 months in con­struc­tion.

Win­ter­set Com­mu­ni­ty Church want­ed a larg­er gath­er­ing space for the local com­mu­ni­ty, so they decid­ed to add a gym­na­si­um to their wor­ship build­ing. The addi­tion had to be built quick­ly while the church was still in use, blend in seam­less­ly with the exist­ing struc­ture, and offer high noise pro­tec­tion between the church and the gym­na­si­um.
