The combination of molding strong plastic ties and high density modified EPS foam together creates a durable ICF. The portion of each tie that is embedded in the EPS foam is called the "fastening strip" (typical for all Fox Blocks) that measures 7/32" thick x 1-1/2" wide. These tie "fastening strips" are spaced 8" O.C., so the installer can attach the interior/exterior veneer wall finishes using the traditional 16" wall spacing that is an excepted standard in the Construction Industry. The portion of the regrind tie that is exposed in the block's inner core is engineered to support the reinforcing steel bars and the structural concrete material during construction. To improve construction installation time in the field, each Fox Block has exterior vertical & horizontal raised markings on both sides of the block to help the installer make straight cuts to the blocks with a saw during ICF wall assembly. Finally, the larger and more durable inter-locking connection assembly is easy to use and reversible, which reduces construction waste and speeds up the installation process.
